Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal offers a safe and effective way to remove a tattoo that no longer meets your needs. Whether your personal style has changed, the tattoo reflects a message (or name) you no longer identify with or the visibility of the tattoo is a problem, we have a solution for you.

How does laser tattoo removal work?

Here at Cayce Med Spa, we use the Astanza Trinity laser to safely perform full-spectrum laser tattoo removal on all skin types! This laser combines Q-switched Nd:YAG and ruby technology to provide the best laser tattoo removal treatments in Columbia, MO, and surrounding areas.

Laser tattoo removal is a highly effective process that involves using a specialized laser to break up the ink pigment in the dermis, the middle layer of skin where tattoo ink is located. The laser emits pulses of light energy that are absorbed by the ink particles, causing them to break down into smaller particles that are then naturally flushed out by the body’s immune system over time. Full removal of a tattoo will require a series of sessions ranging from 5 to 10, with each session spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart.

Our Technology

We proudly offer laser tattoo removal treatments using The Astanza Trinity. The Trinity is a Q-switched and ruby laser incorporating three of the most versatile wavelengths – 532 nm, 694 nm, and 1064 nm. With this combination of wavelengths, we are able to target and safely treat all tattoo ink colors on all skin types. The Trinity’s unique square-shaped beams distribute light energy evenly, minimizing the risk of hot spots and treatment overlap. It also comes with a 5x5 mm handpiece, allowing our practitioners to treat larger tattoos in a matter of minutes.

Laser tattoo removal is for those looking to remove a whole tattoo, part of a tattoo, or even lighten a tattoo for a cleaner cover-up. The Astanza Trinity offers the safest and most effective treatments for removing unwanted tattoos, especially when proper aftercare instructions are followed carefully. Our laser practitioners are certified to handle medical-grade laser technology and create a tailored treatment plan based on each client’s needs.

How long does laser tattoo removal take?

The length of the laser tattoo removal process depends on many factors including the location of your tattoo, the age of your tattoo, the depth of the ink, the color and type of the ink, aftercare, and the client’s overall health. Newer tattoos tend to take longer to fade. Additionally, a very dense, heavy-handed tattoo will also take longer to fade. On the other hand, the fading process can be helped along by adopting healthy habits including exercising regularly, not smoking, staying hydrated and keeping out of the sun.
